Looking for an internship/full-time job and interested in Northrop Grumman? HKN will be hosting a UCLA alumni panel with current Northrop Grumman engineers. This is a great opportunity to learn more about their work environment and the opportunities they offer. Be sure to bring your resume as there will be a networking portion to the event. Northrop Grumman is currently looking for US citizens to fill full-time and internship positions.
Northrop Grumman Tech Talk (Dr. Jonathan Arenberg speaking about Chandra Telescope)

The Chandra X-ray Observatory, one of NASA’s Great Observatories, was launched in 1999 from the Space Shuttle Columbia on mission STS-93. Chandra is operating and returning cutting edge results today, twenty years after launch. This talk will explore the basic technology of the grazing incidence x-ray telescope and observatory. Chandra’s, program development, engineering history and the main lessons learned will also be discussed. The talk concludes with a sample of the main scientific results based on Chandra observations.
